School Avoidance Alliance

An entry portal that sorts every visitor into the right path before they read a word of content.

The School Avoidance Alliance entry portal, offering three paths: parent, school professional, and clinician.

The problem a portal solves

The organisation serves audiences with almost nothing in common: a parent whose child will not go to school, a teacher or counsellor who needs training, and a clinician or community organisation looking for professional resources.

One homepage trying to speak to all three speaks to none. The portal asks the only question that matters first, then sends each visitor somewhere built for them.

How it was built

Real HTML, CSS and React components with inline SVG illustrations and lightweight CSS animation, rather than a flattened image of a design.

That was a deliberate constraint from the start: the page had to stay editable, accessible and responsive, which a picture of a layout never is.
